Penge Partners was formed in 2007 to manage local community events which fell outside the scope and remit of Penge Festival, for example the Penge in Bloom gardening competition and the Penge Older People’s Network. We are a group of local people who have extensive knowledge of the Penge community. Most of our members have received awards for their voluntary work, including one MBE, six Bromley Mayoral Awards for outstanding voluntary work and numerous local church voluntary awards.
Penge Partners is the umbrella organisation for the Penge Festival, Penge in Bloom and the Penge Older People's Network. Our aims are to offer support for local projects and community groups and residents in Penge and Anerley; to promote greater understanding, partnership and integration between the diverse communities in Penge; to improve community safety; and to contribute towards the wellbeing of the area.
We have representatives on almost every community group and committee in Penge and we actively work alongside our Safer Neighbourhood Team, the Local Authority and our aged and BME groups. We have members who work with our residents with learning difficulties and those suffering from mental ill-health.
Penge has a fantastic transport network, offering a choice of rail or bus travel, including our prized Overground at Penge West. We have a great mix of shops for all budgets and tastes. We can also boast the very popular Bridge House Theatre and a thriving arts' scene.
